Dijo Protágoras que “El Hombre es la medida de todas las cosas”. Cuantos milenios tuvieron que transcurrir para poder entender que la incertidumbre cuántica es la parte humana que moldea el universo que nos circunda. Tenemos la responsabilidad con nuestra razón consciente y libre albedrio de hacer de este Gran y Ruidoso Mundo un lugar mejor, para nosotros, pero más importantemente por nuestros hijos y por todas las creaturas de la Tierra. Abracemos el mundo con estos maravillosos sentidos que recibimos del Creador, con amor y hagamos lo correcto.   Yo sólo soy un pasajero, un observador que agradece a Dios esta oportunidad de vivir y aprender, de sentir y experimentar la existencia.   Vamos todos adelante, a vivir y ser felices.

Protagoras said that "Man is the measure of all things". How many millennia had to pass to understand that quantum uncertainty is the human part that shapes the universe that surrounds us. We have the responsibility with our conscious reason and free will to make this Big and Noisy World a better place, for ourselves, but more importantly for our children and for all creatures on Earth. Let's embrace the world with these wonderful senses that we receive from the Creator, with love and do the right thing.   I am just a passenger, an observer who thanks God for this opportunity to live and learn, to feel and experience existence.   Let's all go ahead, live and be happy.

HAIR

Hair

 

Este tríptico lo pinté en 1992. Está inspirado en una historia de amor personal de aquellos días. Como pueden ver la técnica mixta muy primitiva aun, pero lo importante es que ahí aparecieron las bases de mi léxico artístico y más importante, ahí toma forma el personaje “El Tc.”.   Los cuadros son: Hair (Aquarius), Hair (I Got Life) y Hair (Let the Sunshine In). Nombrados así por la obra musical Hair.   Así fue; en un momento doloroso de esa historia que yo estaba viviendo me puse a pintar un cuadro pero como el resultado fue muy triste, decidí hacerle continuación para suavizar el sentimiento y después lo complete como tríptico para convertirlo en una historia con final feliz. Los que me conocen saben que usualmente mis fuentes de inspiración son del lado luminoso y feliz.   En “Aquarius”, plasmé sentimientos muy fuertes… Dijo San Pablo que «El amor no es egoísta». Fue un momento en que decidí que sin importar cuánto amas a alguien, si no eres tú quien le hace feliz, tienes que renunciar a ese amor precisamente por amor, e irte a recorrer otros horizontes, sin mirar atrás. Si tu amor es verdadero tienes que hacer el sacrificio final.

I painted this triptych in 1992. It is inspired by a personal love story from those days. As you can see, the mixed technique is still very primitive, but the important thing is that the bases of my artistic lexicon appeared there and, more importantly, the character “El Tc.” takes shape there.   The paintings are: Hair (Aquarius), Hair (I Got Life) and Hair (Let the Sunshine In). Named after the musical Hair.   That's how it went; In a painful moment of that story that I was living, I started to paint a picture but as the result was very sad, I decided to continue it to soften the feeling and then I completed it as a triptych to turn it into a story with a happy ending. Those who know me know that my sources of inspiration are usually from the bright and happy side.   In “Aquarius”, I embodied very strong feelings… Saint Paul said that «Love is not selfish». It was a moment in which I decided that no matter how much you love someone, if you are not the one who makes them happy, you have to give up that love precisely for love, and go explore other horizons, without looking back. If your love is true you have to make the ultimate sacrifice.

El angelito que aparece en “I got life” es retrato de mi ahijado Will y es el personaje que me da la fortaleza para levantarme nuevamente, (me entrega mi bastón). Enviado por Dios.

The little angel that appears in “I got life” is a portrait of my godson Will and is the character that gives me the strength to get up again (he hands me my cane). Sent by God.

Finalmente en “Let the sunshine in” la conclusión es el anhelo de estar inscrito en el libro de la eternidad habiéndose cumplido con todo lo esperado dentro del circulo de la vida. Habiendo dejado los demonios ilusorios atrás y venciendo al propio lado oscuro.

Finally, in "Let the sunshine in" the conclusion is the desire to be inscribed in the book of eternity, having fulfilled everything expected within the circle of life. Having left the illusory demons behind and defeating the dark side itself.

Podría platicarles mucho más pero mejor les dejo los cuadros y sus detalles. Yo sé que no soy más que un aprendiz de escritor que usa colores más que palabras, que pinta con el corazón.
